The Brain Jar is a cocktail and pizza bar in Old Town, Hull. We are a public space that aims to nurture independent art and autonomous culture. Our goal is to create a third place in people's lives between work and home which encourages conversation, the interaction of differing ideas, and a proactive approach to tackling the challenges that we face together. We love to host the celebration of creativity within our community.

Taking place over two floors and three generous sized rooms we host parties, gigs, art exhibitions, comedy nights, opera, presentations, celebrations, and workshops. 

We serve twenty-five different loose leaf teas, locally roasted coffee, sixty plus cocktails and temperance mixes, craft and bottle conditioned beer, wine and spirits as well as glorious food. So whether you are looking for relaxation or fun we have what you need.
